Harry Smith: Portland's Prodigal Son

A weekend of film + events

A three-day celebration of the art, films, music and life of Harry Everett Smith will happen in Portland, Oregon this coming weekend. It begins on Saturday night (June 15, 2024) at the Hollywood Theatre with short films and music curated by Mississippi Records. I look forward to a Sunday afternoon (June 16) discussion at Turn, Turn, Turn with Darrin Daniel, Chuck Pirtle and Rani Singh about Harry’s Pacific Northwest roots. Monday evening (June 17) at the Clinton Street Theater will be the Oregon Territory premiere of Mahagonny.
